Bunkerexhibition #5 – Liebling Peter Kho Sien Kie

Peter Kho Sien Kie presents Ari Versluis & Anne Karin ten Bosch

At Oerol a festival in Terschelling a Dutch island in the North of NL, we saw a ballet by Peter Kho Sien Kie, in the beginning of this century. Dancers in the hold of a ship, danced through a floor full of water up to ankle height and were projected on the wall, which we thought spectacular.

Peter Kho Sien Kie, a Rotterdam based choreographer/ visual artist and filmmaker of his own choreographies was asked to make Bunkerexhibition # 5.

In the small space with a stroboscope light: Gabber, a movie by Ari H. Versluis

In the square space the installation Comfort: from a vibrating chair people look at a water-thin porcelain board in which a movement sequence is projected, based on the statues of Mary – Anne Karin ten Bosch

In the large space, Insomniaks, a small concrete basin of 1×1 m in which a repeated movement by Peter Kho Sien Kie, shot in different locations, is projected.

I was really impressed by Exactitudes by Ari Versluis, until I saw the work of Hans Eikelboom. To be fair, Hans Eikelboom was there first.
