Sleeping Beauty Maureen Prins

The first bunker exhibition took place in 2002. Maureen Prins was editing Bougainville, a film by Rayke Verhoeven, who also founded Waterkant rowingboats/ tea garden, The Hague 1996. It was on the editing table Maureen first saw footage of the bunker from WWII.

At the time she showed her work together with Esther van Waalwijk and Katelijne Aerts only in unusual places. She immediately asked Rayke if they could make an exhibition in the bunker.
